Chuck,

Take Rich's advice for the elbow, "Use Viagra", it works miracles.

As most of you know, I showed up the day (even the hour) of the weigh in - and stayed a couple of days after that.  Believe it or not, the second day went overcast as a cold front moved in, and I actually had to use my sleeping bag to keep warm at night!  (The night before I melted as most of you did.)

But thanks to all the winners who gave their fishing reports... especially to those who said the topwater bite was on!  Was that a blast!  Caught fish on every third cast!  It was red hot!  Never had any confidence with topwater before - but I'm a convert!  Warning: if you're over 50 (like me), and you throw topwater and cranks from sun up to sun down, expect to have a severe case of tennis elbow or tendonitice after the third day!  But the pain was worth it... thanks for the tips!

Thanks Danny.

Me and Shannon had a real great time.

I do hope you find a Jill by next year also. You are killer on the smallies and a good angler to have in a tourny. You would have had a blast.

Geez Kirk,  you have a "tube" on your speedo?  This is getting to be like the comercial for the outboard with the guy loosing his clothes.  JUST TOO MUCH INFO!

One technique for keeping cool during hot days that I have used in the past is to remove the speedo tube under the dash.  This makes for a cool ride, albeit very wet.  Fun to mess with your partner this way as well.  Just a tip.

Congratulations Mike and Shannon! That 2 day weight is pretty awesome for Banks, and would hold up on any circuit. Nicely done! Once I buy a boat this fall, I hope to find a Jill for next year....maybe Sarge will wear a wig for me Grin

Tight Lines,

Is this going to hurt much, Larry? Shocked

I suppose that might have helped a little.  Or we might have all crowded into the showers with pockets full of quarters...

Rich, I was looking into a mist sprayer used at events that has flex tubing that can go anywhere and even in trees! they use very little water too.

Although the heat was difficult, the water temps made conditions ideal for fishing, which was very good indeed.  It was a great time, especially the Starbucks hole.

It was a very HOT time!  100+.  But the company was great and the pot luck was even better then the company.

I think we need to reconsider trips over there for earlier or later due to the heat.  And not just for the J&J.  The heat made it pretty tuff (on us tent campers) to cool off after a hot day on the lake

But a good time overall, Rich
