Russ,
My membership app w/check went out a while back so "yes" I'm still a member. You sounded sad about that. Sorry to hear that. See ya at the Potholes Open.

Rob,
I couldn't agree with your post more - a day on the water with a good friend is a win any time.

Congrats to all that suffered through the weather. It's always good to see you folks.

So where is the smiley face with the mud all over it. 8) Shocked Grin Shocked Lips Sealed Cry   Any ways, yeah I had a little mud on me.  Big deal!!!!   Just glad I had enough left in my tank to help push our rig out of the mud......  Glad everone down there made it.  It was nice to see a good turn out for the tourney and get a precursor to the tournement year to come.  Good luck to all

Hey Mike,
Many of us would rather be a part of a "bigger picture".  I'll sit by the fire with you and have a beer anytime.  Sorry you couldn't make it this past weekend.  I promise though, the couch, a blanket and someone to "snuggle" with looks far more appealing after being out there and "living it first hand".  You didn't miss much.  CAN'T WAIT FOR POTHOLES AND THE SUN!!!!!

Good jog to all of those that fished the tourny. I was not able to make it, but wish I would have. Next year.

I hope that the slamming and indirect shots at each other stay on the website, or better yet go away. I am not looking forward to the club tournys if this is how it will be. I know the best thing about a weekend club event is being able to kick back with ALL of the members after the day and shoot some bull. That is what drew me to this club and what keeps me coming back.

Someone got stuck in the grass?????  Seems I recall a certain WBC event where we had not one but TWO boats stuck in front of the island at Silver.  At the time it was not too funny, but now, I cannot help but chuckle.  I was the TD and fit to be tied, becasue I could not understand where everyone was at!!  Finally the news got to me and I could not believe it.  I am laughing out loud right now, just remembering.  I also recall watching a boat beach itself at Potholes on a long sand bar.  The rig was traveling pretty slow, so no one got hurt, except for the driver, who was getting quite an earful from his passenger.  I think it was his wife or girlfriend.  I tried to help them get off, but they would not get out of the boat to help.  Sure it was a bit chilly water, and I finally told them if they did not get out and help, that I would be departing quickly as my own legs were numb, and I would call the sheriff to come and get them.  At any rate, they got out and the boat floated right off the bar.  Embarassment aside, they thanked me and we parted ways.  I can still hear that gal giving that fellow the business.

Who said winning isn't everything?  Bull.  I went there to WIN.  And I did.  I got a fish.  On a day like that "a fish" WAS a win.  It was really tuff with the weather and all.  And with the number of "GOOD" fishermen out there that didn't get anything (except my prizes from the drawing Larry) it was great to have caught a fish.  I feel that I was just in the right spot at the right time and there was a suicidal fish available.

I know that there were many out there that were many times my peers, Kirk, Larry, Ron, Russ and maybe Rob, just to name a few but we all paid our money and took our chances.  And I am still learning the weighs (sic) of the wiley wascal BASS.

So Kirk,  anytime you want me to take you out there and give you some pointers...Damn,  there go the drugs kicking in.

Anyway it was great to fish with the ones that showed up and to see some of the other competition around the area.

Rich
