That's what I get for tuning in late to the BASS Classic coverage... I caught the Mark Menendez thing as it was ending. Then when I read my BASS Times I realized it was a different tournament all together Cheesy Oops.

Mark's error was from a different tournament held in mid-June.  He didn't make the Classic field, but he is MC'ing the ESPN coverage.

Mike's error was due in part that the area wasn't marked w/yellow markers like they normally do for off-limits areas in all the other BASS tournaments.  Not an excuse, but I can see how that could happen.

I have a hard time believing some of the mental errors a couple of the pros made today...

Mike Iaconelli fishes an off-limits area because he didn't understand the boundary lines, and Mark Menendez forgot to wear his life jacket in an area near the dam where wearing a life jacket is required at all times. If I was ever lucky enough to fish in the Classic, I sure as heck would have all my rules straight!!! Oh well... I guess Mike I. only had one small (dead) keeper, so it didn't make a big difference when his weight was DQ'd.

Marty Stone is one of the anglers I picked for the ESPN Fantasy Fishing. He is currently in second, so I got to hope he stays on top.

I tried linking with your post, but for some reason it humble juno didn't find espn classic. I went to ESPN and found the classic stats page. This is what I copied: http://espn.winnercomm.com/ . We are not subscribers, so maybe that's why I couldn't access it. Thanks for the news, Smitty!  8)

The website http://espnwinner.com has a live update board that constantly changes as the anglers catch fish.  Currently (0650 hrs.), Kelly Jordan is leading.  Local favorite Jeff boyer is in 25th. Cheesy
