Well, how was the fishing? I spent a joyful day putting the gate back up in front of the boat parking spot, and more yet to do. Last week's windstorm put the 10' gate and the adjacent section of fence out in the driveway. I thought the weather was nice enough to go fishin', tho. Curses!

Along these lines, I was contacted by "KC from WA" on BFHP. He's coming over to Maple Valley to visit relatives for Christmas. Turns out he's a young guy from Spokane, and going into the Fisheries Dept. at Moscow, Idaho next year. Anyway, he wants to go fishing on Sunday the 14th of Dec., so if anybody is willing, I'll set up the connection. I don't normally fish in the winter... hypoglycemia doesn't help the cold weather tolerance at all. I told him to be prepared for cold, rain, and Drop Shot, Light C'rig, or vertical jigging hulagrubs, etc. I think I can find some  good areas to fish, but really don't like the cold. I'll tell him to bring his own lifejacket. Let me know if you can accomodate him.

I shall be there for B-Fast but with no power for two days and maybe a third I am skeptical of the charge on my boats Batteries....been a bear so far already so we shall play it by ear. For those out of the loop...The acreage accross from my house for those who have been there, about 30% of the trees there have come down and are scattered around. Had some 10 15ft. limbs just miss the cars too! Glad for Nat. Gas water heater and a Generator....Just a Safety Note! If you are thinking of a Generator....Get it Professionally installed with a "Gen-Tran" unit to protect you and the Utility crews from power outages....when you run a generator...you can potentially send power back down a "Dead Line" and when the utilty folks come to fix the problem they get fried unless you put in a Breaker system...A Gen-Tran is that breaker, plus you dont get those power spikes that happen when they re-start the grid.See ya at Li'l Jons! Larry.

Well, doggone it, wouldn't you know it, my wonderful bride has come down with the creeping crud that is going around and came home today from work sicker than any of us want to be.  Embarrassed

I will not be making it out tomorrow, and I was just wanting to relive the wonderment of the raw elements swirling around as we attempt to out wit a wily fish.

Hope all goes well tomorrow.

Mark, Larry & I fished the east channel earlier this fall with the wind and the rain.  Noooooo Problem.  We even managed to find a couple of fish....Perch and 1 Bass in about 45 feet of water.

Andy says wind and rain temps in the 40's, it won't be that bad   Grin

count me in, nothing like some good winds thru the east channel to hopefully stir up the smallies into feeding a little bit.

I had thought about putting some time on the new "BlackStar", and rain is not a problem.  However, they are also calling for high winds again Undecided.  Not that a 20'8" X96" boat can't handle the winds out there,  ???but I think I'll do my Christmas shopping instead.  Maybe Sunday. Smiley

Sorry Jim,  but I won't be there for the wind, rain, freeze in.  I haven't seen one darn 40'+ cruiser that would be accomodating for the weather that will probably happen.

But good luck to the rest and enjoy breakfast.

The forcast "is" showing rain, but I know we all have loads of rain gear.  I will show up just in case someone wants some company going out on the water.  I would be surprised if we do not have a couple of die hards who do not have a life and just have to get a line in the water.

Dear WBC,

Well Just to let you know that it looks like mother nature is going to force
me to postpone this months freeze-in.

I will however, Rain or shine, wind or not, go to breakfast and see what the
weather is going to do at that point. Worst case nobody will show up and I
will eat by myself and tell lots of lies to myself and go home. Best case
lots of people will show up, we'll eat and maybe go fishing.

If the weather cancels us then I will not plan on a Freeze-in for December
as it is getting to close to the holidays. I am planning one for January 3rd
at Lake Washington again just because its pretty central and it seems that
people like to fish there during the winter months.

I am enclosing the Freeze-in Flyer for those that want to show up to see
what's going to happen.

Backlash
Jim Shaffer
