As luck would have it Doug my kite is equiped with a Garmin model 240 temperature probe and depth - er altitude gage Wink.  It indicated 52-53*  Undecidedwherever the wind slacked off and it dipped low enough to the lake to read the surface.  Of course I had it on a very long string, as I was at the beach. Oh you funny, funny man Bill  Angry  May the fishing God's striken you with weak line and bad smelling lures.  Can't wait to see though and the rest of you guys fishing.  If anyone needs maps of the Lake go to mapquest.com
You can actually get a pretty decent lay of the land from it.

Thanks Smitty, I couldn't remember if PR night was Friday or  Saturday.  I'm gonna try to get out of town early so to get a seat.  They also make one heck of a burger too.  Smitty did your kite managed to check any water temps?

It was great way to get the cobwebs knocked off the fishing reflexes.  It was nice to see a good WBC turnout.  I am way sprung for the Duck Lake tourny.  After I'm all check in, I'm going down to the world reknown "Green Lantern" to review my tournament strategy and sample some of the coastal atmosphere along with a couple barley pops .  Hope to see some of you there.

Lest we forget the most important big game of the hunt.  The personal water craft.  They are hard to bag in a slower boat, boat in Larry's boat, I am sure we could run down a few.

Maybe a combination Hunt-N-Fish trip........
Limits=5 Bass
          2 Mink
          All the Cormorants you can hit!

p.s. we saw a Mink carrying a decent sized bass along the shoreline............@#$#Mink!

Idea....The official Western Bass Club Mink Coat?

Hey Larry,
  Thanks again for putting up with me in the back of your boat.  I had a great time and I am glad our game plan worked out pretty well.  We know we had the bites to place a little higher but all in all it was a great time out on the water with some tugging on the other end of the line.  Now if we could only train that darn mink to catch the fish and bring it back to the boat instead of his log.  LOL
