Pork with water temp below 60.  Plastics for temp above 60.

I love plastics, but up till now have always tipped my larger jigs (1/2 oz and up) with real Pork....this year I am using both, just to get a variety of shapes, sizes and colors to use.

I like the fact that Pork does not tear up as easily as plastic and seems to be a little more bouyant and as Larry has said since they now have pre-cut slits for the hook it takes a lot less effort to rig one.

Good timing Glenn as I am in the beginning phase of a re-examination of Pork as they have made great strides to make it more "Angler Friendly"  with pre-punched baits and more colors...I think the bouyancy of pork-vs-plastic makes it still a viable option in these bait cluttered days. Plus the texture is still something they have not duplicated.
p.s.......yes I too am a Plastics guy but a tool is a tool.....can we ever have enough?

Which do you prefer?  I like plastic myself.
