Ron Hankinson and I hit Lake WA Saturday morning, we met up with a new member - Chris (can't remember his last name) and launched from East Mercer ramp around 8am.

We ran up to the North end of Mercer Island and within 7 minutes of wetting his line, Ron had a 2lb 8oz smallie in the boat! Within a couple of hours, both of us had lost one each, and then Ron struck again. This one was 3lb and put up a great fight!! Chris had a few bites like me, but nothing reached the boat, also like me!!

The weather stayed good all day, we got a few spits of rain but not enough to even bother with waterproofs. All in all it was a good day on the water with good company and a couple of fish - not much to ask for in Feb.
