Went to Bass Pro Shop and bought a rod to replace the one that snapped and bought the two year warranty for $20.  Got out to the truck and read the card attached to the rod and it said the Carbonlite rods have a one year warranty, not 60 days like the lady on the phone said.

So I go back into the store and show the customer service lady and she says the warranty is one year, and all I need to do is bring in the snapped rod and that receipt, along with the new rod and receipt, and they'll reverse the charge for the new rod!

Yeah, didn't have to buy a new rod after all.

I snapped my BPS Carbonlite light skipping senko rod today on a hook set and called customer service to see about warrantying the rod, and they said their rods only come with a 60 day warranty, unless you buy the $15 two year warranty.  My rod was 6.5 months old, ouch!

I thought a year was pretty much a standard warranty, Guess not.

Now I have to buy another skipping rod, and this time with the $15 two year warranty.

Make sure you buy the warranty on BPS rods.
