Everyone,

There is a Fishing Kids event this Saturday, June 6th, at Gene Coulon park in Renton, and we are asking any WBC members that can help to please sign up and help out this Saturday.

Western Bass Club has always volunteered to help with these CAST Foundation events and we are again asking that any members that have this Saturday open, to please go to the  CAST for kids website, and sign up to volunteer to help.

This is the event where they have thousands of trout brought down to the Gene Coulon boat launch and then put them into nets alongside the concrete docks/bulkhead, and give the kids a rod, reel and tackle, and we help them catch 3 trout from the nets alongside the concrete docks/bulkhead.

It really is a fun day and the time goes by very quickly with all the fish being caught and all the excited kids and their families showing up and enjoying the experience.

If you do decide to help out please send an e-mail to: jessica@castforkids.org, or you can go to the below address letting them know you'll be there.

I would recommend bringing a set of pliers to pull hooks, a pair of scissors, gloves, a rag to wipe stuff on, and a pair of jeans/shorts you don't mind getting bloody from all the trout blood.

Here is the web address where you can sign up and also read about the event.  Please also let us know in this posting if you can be there.

Larry Sullivan, Rodney Heuple and myself will be there and we are hoping to see as many WBC members there that can make it!
