You should have made the fella dive down as far as he could and tell you where the bass were hiding before becoming the hero of their day.

It was a tough fish-in, more fish where out. I caught one small mouth bass and Dan hooked one large mouth bass. Both where small fish. The most exciting thing for me of the day was when I spotted a canoe upside down with 3 girls and guy clinging to it. None where wearing a life rest and none where available. I pulled the canoe up out of the water and up righted it and they all got back in and where on there way to the swimming area beach.

This is Christy... I found an old post from 2007 with directions. Ironic that it is happens to be the same lake and the same day. It looks like there will be two launches at the park, but the one closest to the entrance (not Rocky Point) is the best one to use and it is free. The people at the park also told me to get there early because they fill up fast. Good luck tomorrow! Christy
The August Fish-In will be at Alder Lake on August 11.
"Open year-round, lake level permitting, the Alder Lake Boat Launch is the first area you come to as you enter Alder Lake Park. The boat launch includes a two-lane launch with dock, parking and restrooms. See Map below.
From Tacoma, take Interstate 5 south to State Route 512. Travel east on SR 512 about 2 miles to the Pacific Avenue exit (SR 7). Go south on SR 7 about 27 miles to the intersection with School Road at the Alder Parks Store. Turn right and follow the signs to Alder Lake Park." "

I will get there after leaving the Bay Area of California via Alaskan Air lines and arriving at Sea-Tac. Then will shuttle to were my truck is, drive home and get some sleep. Wake up, hook up the G3 and drive south to the launch. It has been a few years but I still remember how to get there.

There is a public launch located near the gates to the City of Tacoma camp grounds located there.

No worries Dan,
If there's no breakfast meet I'll make do. What time are we going to launch?
The directions I found are to 50423 school rd Eatonville, wa 98328. It does mention a second launch but I can't seem to locate an address for it.

I believe the best choices for breakfast would be on the Mountain Hi-way out in Spanaway or at the Shari's in Puyallup. The only place that serves breakfast in Eatonville opens at 8 AM.

Todd I don't even know where the launch is . I'm kinda wingin' this one if you can't tell. But that's how it goes. I'll have Christy help me find directions to the launch site so stay posted. As for breakfast... ... I'll look for a place but i can't guarantee I'll find a suitable location. You mght actually have to eat on your own
