September Fish In Report
Long Lake, Lacey Sep. 17th

Yeah it was a fun day out there on Long Lake, in Lacey. It was cloudy and breezy all day. The morning started out with rain showers, which is when I caught all 5 of my bass. Everyone else seemed to do better when the rain stopped around 11AM  for some reason.  Huh There were six boats, seven members, and one guest present. In boat one there was Rodney who caught 14 bass, his big one was 5 and a half lbs. Then there was Robert who left early. He caught a few, don't know how big. Then there was Larry and his sweet new truck. His big one weighed in at a pound and a quarter. Hooter and his guest Dave didn't do all that great for the LM but caught some big ol' rock bass in some high numbers to keep em busy. Then there was me. I caught 5 keepers the big one went 4lbs. Finally there was Chris B. and Susan. Chris caught 4 fish weighing over 20 lbs.  His big fish was just short of 7lbs Shocked. The amazing part, is that he only fished for 3 hours. Nice work Chris!

So despite a nasty rain storm, (and a flesh wound Wink) It was a pretty good day on the water. We all had fun and caught some fish.
Thank you all who attended

It was an eventful fish-in yesterday at Long Lake.  For anyone that wasn't there, Susan was fishing with me and on about my 6th cast of the morning, I thought I had a bite.  It probably wasn't a bite, I think I was pulling slowly on a rope or twig, but I went to pull the trigger and the jig came flying out the water.  It hit her in the eyebrow and cut her open.  It was a minor cut, BARELY missed her eyeballs, but watching blood drip onto my boat freaked me out a little.  (ALWAYS wear your sunglasses  Lips Sealed)  I drove over to Larry to get a expert paramedic opinion, and Susan and I left early to get stitches.
Urgent care didn't open til 9am, they ended up glueing the wound and I was back on the water by 11am, THANKS Susan for letting the day continue  Embarrassed
I caught a 3lb even on the 2nd dock I fished.  Then a 4-4 on a offshore log that hit as I was reeling in.  Then I got two nearly back to back hawgs weighing in at 6lb 15oz and 6lb 9oz.  Three fish came jiggin docks, with bigger than average jigs   Wink  Susan was napping in the van and she came out for the last hr but no takers.
The 2:30 chili dogs really hit the spot, Thanks Dan for feeding us well !

Ok let's get a head count. so I know how much food to bring.  I bet there will be a pretty good bite at this lake, although I've only fished it once I've heard there are some chunky bass here.
