Chris boat traffic was not a problem until about 1 or 2pm most of the day was perfect not to hot not cold & clam. I wish the boats had been more crazy that would have put the bite on.

Sad That double headed nail in my nail had damaged the inside side wall of the tire, had to get a new used tire.  Did get a 50% credit towards the new trailer tire.  Smiley

I wouldn't call Dan's fish long and skinny at all, nice chunks.  Looked like a fun day on the water, besides the boat traffic of course.

Ya John your right about that picture. I thought that was one of those "mystery angler" photos Rodney occasionally puts up. Grin
And yes your fish could have been pre spawn, I found a bed Patrick caught a bass off of yesterday. I saw two really clean beds there at Goodwin in about 6 or 7 ft but with no fish locked on but a nice 3 or 4 swimming through the area that did not come back.  What a wierd year we're havin' huh?

Hum note to self never let Larry take photos of my fish when he is facing the sun & I am holding a brown fish with a brown shirt on. Dan your fish look huge but I can see they a long & thin mine was all gut I think mine was pre spawn Crazy pre-spawn in July.
I got one on spinner bait 2 on sinko 1 on grub & 1 on drop-shot Post spawn junk fishing at its best. I think this lake kicked out some good numbers & size considering the time of year & conditions.

Sorry to hear about the tire issues Rodney......this is one of the constants with this sport that make us have to pay such attention to detail...yes...im gonna order the tires for the truck next week rather than wait till the fall. Tongue
At least the boat motor is running great!!!! Smiley

It really turned out to be a long day after day on the water. After helping out some ladies with the aid of my jumper cables to start their car I noticed a big shiny new spike in my left rear tire of the truck. Put my spare on and noticed it was a little low. So I found me a gas station that had air and while putting air in that tire I noticed a big ole blister on my left trailer tire on the inside. Changing tires made me tiredRoll Eyes

So here is a couple more pics of the day.   Smiley

Heres some pics from Goodwin....

Me and Jose got 12 smallies to the boat...all on dropshots...water was clear and had very little weed growth.....looked kinda scary from an anglers viewpoint...waater temps were 66-68.
the others can talk about their fish and techniques.
Lake got so busy after lunch we all pulled out and left by 4:30.
