Larry

They could not run the motor until they put on the other parts, thats when they discovered the air pump was froze up.

Sometimes you need depend on good old fashion mechanical know how and not on a diagnostics machine or computer.

I wish everyone well at this one and I'm really sorry I can't make it, I'd have loved to fish this one...  Looks like I'll be starting a different job on September 1st so I'll be busy wrapping things up for my current employer this weekend. Sad

Well the Snodgrass crew won't be making the trip to the Columbia tournament. The boat motor has a froze up air injector pump and they have to order one. Thank god for the warranty, the pump cost $1000.

Good Luck to everyone.

Its not the boat ramp you have to worry about, its the boats stretched across the river that you have to idle through to get to your fishing spot. Also, morning fog could be a factor.

Are we having a banquet ?
I also have heard that we may run into lot of Salmon fishing boats so the ramp may be very busy.

Well guys I was seriously going to make a last minute charge to make it to this tournament, but I checked my calendar and I had made plans months ago for that weekend.  I am going to my best friend since kindergarden's first demolition derby race at the Clallum Co Fair.  Should be a good time I guess  Grin  I never fished the columbia river, though I test drove my boat at tri-cities, so I wanted to explore more than anything.  Next year for sure.

Have fun everyone, and catch some good bags.

OK I did some poking around & what I found was the Tri-Mountain RV Park is about 14miles from the launch  Shocked
I found a place that is very close on the OR side the only complaint is the is some airplane noise but from what I have read noise is going to be a problem at almost all the RV parks they do have openings for the 20-21st so I might change to this place just based on the drive times $30 a night I will bring my ear plugs guess my back seater will have to wake me up

No Tents

The best place from what I have read was this one
http://www.columbiariverfrontrvpark.com/ $30 a night
But its 27miles to the launch now if there was a launch closer to that park we could use this place next time.

I've wanted to stay here for several years. It looked nice when driving by on the freeway. We finally did and it's easy on and off the freeway. The noise follows you in. We were assigned to a site and when we got there, someone was in it, so we took another one and hung out at both ends even tho we were told it was 60'. We almost didn't have enough room for the slides. It is essentially paved and had small grass patches. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park, well kept up, however, pets really are not welcome. We spoke with the owner before arriving and told her up front that we had dogs, after checking in we were told that the dogs were not allowed on the grass and the only place they could go was basically a mud pit after all of the rain. I would not go back. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Not a great place to pull in for the night.  Even though this is "big rig" friendly, watch out!  We could not get into our site with our 40 ft even after unhooking our tow vehicle.  After finding a site with fewer trees and a little better access, we could not put our slide out without having to ask an irritated neighbor if she could move her car.  She moved it over 3 inches then hit our new coach with her door trying to get out and told me we shouldn't have bought such a big RV.  Also very noisy, way to close to the I-5.  Would never stay here again We camped here in a Motorhome.

Jose, your link is from the same site I listed earlier in this post. To me it seems there is more then one boat launch in a small area. Maybe Smitty will have to put on an orange vest and direct us all to the launch.   Roll Eyes

They have machines now for collection parking fees:

NEW: 7-day Self-Pay!
Fees      Parking fees are now collected seven days a week, all year round at Frenchman's Bar, Lewisville, Salmon Creek, and Vancouver Lake parks, as well as Haapa, Daybreak and Marine Park boat launches. When there's not an attendant at the entry booth, you'll be expected to insert the cash fee into the new Self Pay Stations, currently up and running at each site. Scroll down for daily fees.

http://www.ci.vancouver.wa.us/parks-recreation/parks_trails/fees.htm

Seems like we may have to pay.
