I heard it's open now.

So, lake residents aren't allowed to boat or ride their water turds? It would seem that staying on electric wouldn't cause a big erosion problem, and you could have a peaceful time fishing on Meridian. Anybody up for doing it in a canoe? C&R, Steve

Wouldn't the Dept. of Fish & Game launch still be open? If the water is a foot high, that should just about make it useful for power boats, if you're into wading and careful. C&R, Steve

That makes sense. Thanks for the heads up.

Just a heads up I was going to go there Friday & was informed about this. The boat launch at Lake Meridian will be temporarily closed due to unusually high rainfall. The City of Kent is monitoring the water levels daily and will re-open the boat launch as soon as conditions improve.
"Boating activity and the wakes they create could potentially cause erosion of the shoreline," said Jeff Watling, Kent's Parks and Recreation Director. "The amount of rainfall we've seen this June is unprecedented. Closures of the boat launch typically occur only during winter months."
