Fixed it with the new buddy bearing cover - Toook about 5 seconds and no longer spitting grease.

the recall was for a omitted washer not omission(they forget to install it)or it could fail. and if it had a swing away tongue it stands to reason that the statement is true for those years.

Looks like that recall was for the ommission of a flat washer in the swing-away tongue on the trailer. It wasn't just skeeter, but possibly many of the boat brands that used the EZ loader trailer at that time.

As most of you know I just had my trailer hubs,bearings, brakes replaced at Nixons about a month ago. I trailered my boat over to lake Wa for the Wafish event in early December and after the tournament I discovered that one of my bearing covers disappeared.
Now the bad news is that they no longer make this part. So I have to take a standard bearing buddy and machine down one of my wheel rims in order for the bearing buddy to fit.
ARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!
What kind of quality is this, sucks is all I can say.
