Larry, I can not make it on Saturday because of work...but I might be able to stop by with the fire trucks to say hello and help a bit with the co-workers...We'll see what the Battalion Chief says

I will be there Angie and it would be great if western bass members all got together on one section of the bulkhead. It is fun to get these kids to catch fish. I am on your way if you want to carpool. We can discuss details at the board meeting this Thursday.

I’m available Friday after 7pm and all day Saturday – Anyone want to car pool? I’ve not done this event before and would like to hook up with someone who has.

Hey Western!! time to roll up our sleeves and give it up for the kids as it is the annual Fishing Kids event on Lake Washington at Gene Coulon Park. June 5th and 6th a W.D.F.W. net pen will be set up attatched to the dock bulkhead and stocked with several thousand Trout. Rods will need to be rigged on Friday at 5PM (700+!!!) Assisting the 700 or so kids thru the day from 7:30 am till around 2-3 PM Each session runs around 20 mins. and wear a shirt that you can part with and bring a hand towel as the fish are very slimy and bleed alot!! either bring a lunch or you have Kidd Valley or Ivars avail at the dock. Needle nose pliers are handy but all other supplies are provided and each kid leaves with a smile and an experience they will keep for a lifetime!
P.S......I still remember my first time and it still gives me goose bumps watching these kids....and their parents who themselves might not have ever touch a fishing rod!
