I would look online and see if you can find the wiring schematic, then replace it with what the schematic calls for.  If not, call an Evinrude dealer and they should be able to tell ya.

Hey a Question?

I have not been able to trim my motor, the relays still click, but nothing else.  I took out the relay and it is 12 Volt 40 Amp.  When I go onto the web I am finding 12 V 30 Amp listed for my 225 Evinrude.  Any thoughts on this.   Did the previous owner use relays that were not spec and I should have the 30 Amp's or should I find the 40's and use them?

Thanks
BillB
