Had a great day! Fished with John (truck'n'music). Had only one bite, 5th cast of the day on a 4" Bluegill swimbait - 3lb 14oz Largie.

I thought it was a picture from a Coke VS Pepsi commercial.

Had alot of folks...approx 20!! and 12 boats!! but also had some inclement weather roll in and dampen the fishing but several people found them, Brian Walker got 4 with a 5+ lb kicker for the biggest of the day...(pics needed please! ) and Jon Werner got three with two being 4-5 lbs!! Carlos got a nice 5 lb fattie and Rodney H. got one over three lbs!! Post if I missed ya!!! Great time had by all, Me and Jose worked a pair of bed fish for two hours, even when three other females entered the area!! tough watching 5 fish in striking distance and none of them would bite!!! Thanks to all who came out!!!!
Oh, and welcome back to the fish-ins Chris Sargent!!

Why thanks, Bill! That is nice of you. I remember heading out with you... I believe it was a night fish-in. That was a fun one!

I remember one of my first fish-in's and I was looking for a backseat on Washington and you were kind enough to let me join you. I will be bringing my boat, so Chris, I would love to pay you back for the fun time.

Hey y'all,
I'm excited to make my first fish-in in a long time! I will see you all there... I'll probably be begging for a backseat or just start early in my float tube

The last paragraph has the directions from the dennys to the launch.

Just to clarify... those directions are to Denny's and not the lake right?

Watch for rocks in this lake, and do not power load your boat on the trailer if possible. Drive it up, let it settle in the bunks, and then back the trailer down a little and crank it on. Might save your prop.

I stopped by Lawrence today (about 10AM) and I was very surprised that there were about 3 boats on the lake fishing for trout. Not one bass boat in sight, my first time there, interesting launch

I had a hawg on using a J/P 8 -9 lbs. Thought the fish was done and I was in the process on kneeling down when the fish turned a bit, which, I think, released a little tension and out came the bait. I watched it swim away. 8 seconds was , I'm guessing, the time it would take to kneel and lip the fish... oh well.
