actually i caught one right before that so i broke it out.  camera was so cold that the battery only lasted 16min of footage.  it worked out perfect

From what I've hear and read...it is best to release immediately and oberve the progress of the fish....then, if the fish is too tired/stressed to dive, or floats back up later, fizz them and attempt release again. the mortality % is said to double with every handling/trauma. If you plan on keeping the fish in the livewell them Fizzing immediately is said to be best....I watched the Elite Series footage from Lake Erie I believe and Arron Martens fizzed every fish as they were caught.

i've allways heard that you should fizz them, going back to listening to Larry Gonzky's seminars in  the Kingdom on winter bassin. i've also heard not to horse them up from deep water. but whos to say.....maybe you know something i dont? i'm interested to know what everyones thougts are!

do you beleive that even thought they were released immedietely that you should still fizz them?  it was always my thought that it would be harder on the fish to take the time to fizz instead of a quick release.  what do you guys think? i dont wanna kill fish.

nice fish, but don't forget to fizz them....i noticed some other winter smallies on video on that new site that were not fizzed. a lot of the time even if they don't look like they need it,  they still do.

Great job Troy, wish I had been there fighting fish and not the flu.

Here's the two I got today.  Both came out of 44ft on a tube with leadhead.  Russ and Bob Paysno also got bit, and Bob broke one off today.  Were seeing alot of fish on the graph north of 520.
Top one is around 2lbs  the bottom one was around 3 to 3.5lbs

I'll be there, no Nitro alas..... the front Lowrance is dead, and the boat is still pretty soaked.

Just completed some required maintenence....found my fuel bulb to be leaking, probable due to our fine weather!!!!! all replaced, test ran, and rearing to go!! just heading over to the store for the hotdog buns and several cans-o-chili and we will be ready to rock!!!
