Smitty - Talked to Scott today and relived the experience for him. We laughed about it all over again and raised a totty in your honor ! Hope you don't mind. I kinda miss that little dork around the club....

I HAVE BEEN TAGGED!!! With a new nickname. Henceforth I shall forever now be known as "DuneHopper"?

I have also been made aware that the mishaps by the good guys continued beyond the dune hopping. There were rods lost , rods broken, cell phones taking baths , 75 jig heads lost overboard, not to mention OD had to hold it all day long! Yes, sir, it was a helluva day at sea. I will not mention names as that will just jinx me.

I will be looking for future back seaters from now on as Sarge has lost his priveleges.

Hey Kirk,
I might boo every time you win a tournament, but I'm happy for ya big guy. Nice work yet again under tough conditions! I am a little disappointed though that you stole so many fish from the local shoreline anglers.
Another good story from the weekend is that Smitty's dog peed on Terry's leg at the second day awards ceremony! I don't even know what to say about that, except that Smitty has trained his dog well!

That is right! Thanks for the reminder, great sand bug! Haha!!!
Everyone received a shined up skeg this week-end! What fun, let's do it again!

I'm just glad everyone is only talking about Smitty being stuck! I do want to thank Henry, Angie, Phil and Brian for getting me out of the sand! I was way further main lake than Smitty, so I got the waves/sand swamping my boat for 30 mins! My new lower unit was fully painted for all of three days. Thanks again everyone. Jack

I guess I should have been there! Sounds like it was a lot of fun.
Congrats to Kirk, HD and the third place finisher with a 5lber.

it is indead true mr smitty told us to leave him be. i rounded up some rope and made my way up and ran into phil, upon telling phil the news he shot off up to smitty which was in view by now. however me being more wise than the both of them I idled up to see not only smitty stuck but phil as well . phil got himself free and smitty told us to go fish. i was the first to arrive back and the first thing i see is a roost of water shooting off the back of his boat and he had made ALOT of progress. with me and him alone being the strong fellows we are pushed the mighty stratos to a point where we were very near floating. when the others arrived they probably didnt need to cross the waist high channel (which smitty missed ) but it would be way better if more than us too had to get into the water.
congrats to kirk for bagging some fine largies. i had a terrible tournament fishing wise, but enjoyed another great weekend of fun. with alot of luck i'll see all of you at the team tourney.

BassAholic – thanks for the hilarious visual... I'm still recovering from reading that. I pictured it with a crankbait or two hanging off various places as he waves off the rescuers.
Smitty - hope everything is ok with the boat
Crab creek made me nervous about a month ago... I'd hate to see it now.

He told those that found him to leave him, I can see it now just like in the war movies Smoke all-round from the 2stoke oil Oddie sprawled out on the dunes Rods & gear all over the place Fish flopping on the deck from the livewell as Smitty yells out LEAVE ME SAVE YOURSELF OK the fish on the deck might be over the top for Smitty LOL Hope you & the boat are ok Thanks for the entertainment.
