Smitty/Jack,

Gary said that the NW Bass championship had been moved because NW did not want to compete with FLW tournament. Now I don't know these guys as well as you do Smitty and was just relaying the info I had heard from them regarding the scholarship event.

Russ, could it have been moved because of the Northwest Championship being held the first week of Oct. at Tri Cities?

I can not imagine what Gary Morris would have in respect to credible information regarding the ABA since he is the somewhat-kinda president of the TBF.  And for that matter Dan Conrath is only on the periphery of the ABA organization given the Ranger boat sponsorship & give-away.

Smitty,

I hope that is the case because that info came direct from Dan Conrath and Gary Morris. Gary just told me that NW Bass moved its date for the Championship to Banks on that 1st weekend of October. Sorry for the misinformation but originally was told that on previous post.

You would have thought the ABA would tell me about a move, since I'm on the ABA Staff.  I guess the fact that I talk with Al Seibert about twice a week is not reason enough to tell me we moved?  In fact I just talked to him yesterday while I was in the airport in Tulsa.

Don't know where your info is from Russ, but the ABA NW Regional Championship is STILL on the 5th & 6th of SEPTEMBER at Banks Lake.

Troy,

Yup still on Banks. I heard they moved it because of the ABA championship being on that 4th and 5th of October. I fished it last year with Payseno and it was a blast. I booked my camping reservations allready. I'm on the top where Stalhman normally is.

For those that fish the Federation Scholarship event the date has been changed to the last weekend in October instead of the first weekend in October.

See ya there,

Russ
