Nice truck, if you have the 8 foot bed like my F150 then an inflatable mattress and cot fits real well down one side, and I had a row of Rubbermaid boxes down the other with all my camping, cooking gear etc.... my truck did me proud for almost 4 years.
When I ran the Nitro, I checked the actual fuel consumption from full tank to full tank and this is what I got from a 308 cu in V8:
Not towing: (going to Jamboree) with self plus two passengers and all out gear - average 17mpg
Towing: Self plus one and Nitro to Tri-Cities and back - average 14mpg

Cool truck. Owning a Diesel is really cool now.
I had a new programmer installed in my truck before I went to Clear Lake and the improvements were immediate. I was getting around 11.5-12.5 mpg before and now I am getting 13.5-14.5 mpg. The modification only cost $400.00.
FYI for the Diesel owners.

I'll have to agree with Smitty on that one. I was going to suggest that as well as it is one nicely layed out boat.

I picked up a used truck other day its a 1993 F150 no frills but its got a tow package & only 125k so should last me long time. I am not to crazy about paying more for gas then I was use to in the CRV but a much better sleeping space . I am hoping to put a real camper in it someday. I did find a cool website for calculating your gas cost According to this it will only cost me $20 more in gas then the CRV for the Riffe Lake torny. http://tinyurl.com/4f9cvd And some more good info if you need http://www.fueleconomy.gov/ Next I have to enlarge my parking space for a bigger boat. I have looked at lot of boats still have not found what I am looking for but I will know it when I see it just like this truck. Still going to keep my little boat Because Larry likes my bath tub so much
