Pic posted. You know I always forget to hold fish away from body to get full effect but she was so strong she almost flipped out of my hands and back into water.

I met up with Russell later in the day and I took the pic for him. I can tell ya that was one nice fish. I managed to catch a couple of nice three pounders myself in just a short couple of hours of fishing. My thanks go out to Russell for taking me out for a bit today. Get that pic posted Russ. That was one fish to be proud of.

Brian,
Thanks. I was throwing senkos to this fish earlier in the morning but she just wasn't interested. So I thought I would use the advice of Ron Hankinson and try a weightless brush hog on her. After 3 skips- they skip better than I thought they would she wacked it and the fight was on. When I orginally saw her in the morning I was thinking she was about 7lbs, but when I hooked her and almost lost her at the boat as I was reaching for I knew she was about 9lbs.
Morton is on fire right now. I witnessed several fish in the 5-8 lb range just cruising and sitting under docks. All the males we caught were between 3-1/2 and 4-12.
Water temp was 68-70 there today.

Nice fish Russ, now to do it during a tourney..... It seem like every year the fish being weighed in for green slips are getting bigger and bigger. Again, congrats on your personal best.

Got out to Lake Morton this morning with a customer of mine and stuck 5 best was just over 4. Then dropped them off at the ramp about noon. Went back out and stuck over 23lbs with my best being an 8-14 toad which I will post a picture of in the morning.
