I got drawn in with $3.24 a gallon for SHELL!!!!!! The board out near the street, pulled in, it said 3.39 on the machine.

The Board on the street says NOWHERE that it is the discouned price of gasoline when you use your shell credit card.
That kinda got me pissed, but hey $3.39 aint bad.....cannot believe I just said that, but it's true.

Larry

I had something similar happen at Costco. I was at the store front and seen the price of gas. I went to the pump and when I turned it on, the price of gas changed by 5 cents. The guys said, it was changed in the store and it takes effect when the pump is turned on for the first time after the change. I was pissed but it did not matter.

That is a wild story, Larry.  I can't imagine worrying too much, though, we will be paying 5 bucks per gallon for diesel before the end of the summer anyway.

Safeway has a problem in their message board at the store at 13200 Kent Kangley Rd. it advertises $3.99 a gal. for Diesel yet their machine, when you get ready to pump says it is $4.05!!!!!
Now I bought $125.00 in groceries and was looking really forward to that $3.89 price with my 10 cent discount! As you can imagine I am very upset and luckily did not pump fuel but talked to a manager who said they cannot get the reader board to accept $4.05!!!! so they went with what it would take which was $3.99!!!
Just talked to the recorder at safeway Corporate and next to Wa. Dept. of Weights and Measures for their complaint line!
I always thought it would be the fly-by-night-all-nite gas station that would use an excuse like that!! Angry
