Larry,
That spot under 18 now thats funny .
I think we will just all be investing more to play this game we love. That is one of the reasons I dumped hunting, golf, etc. There is only so many dollars to spend after uncle Sam takes his share.

Me too on the "Gonna-fish-no-matter-what-crowd" as I work my butt off for the right to get out and enjoy our natural resources and the President Himself says..."Get out there and spend money to support our economy" and by golly I will!!!
p.s. I have dibs on the spot under the Hwy 18 bridge to live under after I'm Evicted!!!

I'm with Daryl. With a wife, three kids and all of their sports... I only get out to a few tournaments a year. If I have to pay $5.00/gallon I'll do it.
- Latest swimbaits from Basstrix $75.00 - New rain gear $200.00 - Beer and Brats $25.00 - Fuel for boat and tow rig $250.00 (ouch!) - Fishing the WBC tournament at Silver Lake.... PRICELESS!!!

You lose weight and that Triton will be scary fast. Sounds good to me, I'll ride in it

Who cares about gas prices? I work all week so I can fish on the weekends, I'll pay $5 a gallon if I have too. I'm not making boat payments to have it sit in the garage. Maybe I need to buy less groceries? I could stand to lose a few pounds. Plus, with less weight to hall over the mountains, I will save on gas money.
That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

Actually - I am thinkin of driving less to work and more to fishin and huntin' and such. This whole working business is just in the way of all that fun! I am moving to a 4 day work week starting May 1. This means that I will drive one less day at week 150 miles. Figured I can use that quota all summer long and drive anywhere from Eburg and get to all my preferred locations.

I will be cutting back too, the G3 with that 115 4-stroke is cheap to operate, its the tow vechicle that is hard on the wallet. I did have a diesel, miss the power, but the price of deisel and maintance costs make it a draw on whitch is the better choice. Will spend more time on local lakes with no launch fees, vacations will be at state parks. Over all fishing time will not cut back, just the distance to lakes fished.

I get free gas every week so it won't bother me too much.

Actually, I'm hoping to increase my use of the hydroblaster, but that's not hard to do. I really want to get my canoe back into action. It's cheap to run...a few granola bars and a bottle of Gator Aid, fun, and sneaky quiet. C&R, Steve

My dad does, but it is soon to be mine, he is probably going to give me the Metro and he will get a nicer car. The metro is a 96 and has 265,000 Miles on it and still gets 40+ MPG and burns almost no oil.

It will affect fun fishing trips. As for practice and tournaments for NWBASS, during Practice i am leaving my boat at my partners in E. WA and driving the GEO METRO over there. Then using his truck to tow from there.
I am considering getting a Diesel Truck
