Thanks for all the kind words.  Well I got off work early and went out to the same lake today.  Did the same route around the lake.  Came up to Susan's 6.1 dock, first drop with a jig, Doink, set the hook.  Fish goes crazy, got her to the front of the boat, back and forth a few times.  Got her in and later weighed it.  5.2 lbs   They are waking up thats for sure.  Water temp got up to 48, then later dropped quickly.

This post is under the category of "Western Washington Lakes" so when you drive down to Clear Lake in California and catch a couple nice fish you should post it some other place... Wink

nice fish! yes the large mouth have moved up! they have been up by my dock 1 to 3 feet of water. smaller size then those pigs. water temp up to 50 here. but they are very "jumpie". have had hits on the jig but think the fish are to small to take it all in.

Told my dad that we needed to bag going to washigton for smallies and chase some largies. Man I hate deep water smallies and love largemouth fishing.

That's awesome Chris and Susan...congratulations!  I'm sure you've now motivated quite a few people to go fishing for those green fish by the size of those hawgs.

Boat was in 10 feet all day.  Got our bites in about 5-8 feet.   Pitchin to docks, up tight.  They did swim out and show themselves sometimes.

GREAT JOB!!!!!!!
How deep were you fishing, tight up to cover? I hit up Chambers Lake and it was pretty much overrun with carp and didnt see any type of activity. I am thinking of heading to Lake Lawrence or Harts Lake sometime.
