Chris,

Its a good smallie lake and has some giant largies in it as well. Best in spring and fall. Have  caught several 5-6+ lb sm and lm's.

Upper end deep on launch side and shallow at lower end.

Headed out to Goodwin this morning.  Fished it for trout years ago, first time fishing for bass.  We fished from 7am-2pm, only 3 bass caught.  1.1lb, 1.3 and a baby dink.  Didn't realize the upper end of the lake was so shallow in some areas.  Does this lake fish tough, or has it gone downhill ?  I used to read and hear about how it was so good for SM's.  Tough day.
