Rev,

The best part of the cruise was that my father paid for 80% of the trip, Yahoooo.

We went a couple of years ago - and I was surprised to discover that I actually liked the cruise experience.  I did it for my wife - but it turned out more fun than ever expected.  Talk about relaxing!  I didn't want it to end!  And you are right - the food was amazing!  We were waited on hand and foot 24 hours a day.  The only thing I couldn't accomplish was to talk the captain into slowing down enough to troll behind the boat...  but hey, to actually have a vacation without "fishing" in it - well, I'll try anything once!

Just came back from a great cruise to Alaska Cool and if you haven't ever been on one of these you should try it. Didn't try my hand at fishing, but wanted to as I saw hundreds of Sockeye in the river. Great scenerey, more food on the ship that a whale could eat ( I gained some weight), and an overall relaxing experience away from the daily grind we all experience.

Missed home though as I am just getting my land legs back.
