I was hoping you would reply Mark, since I saw one of your past reports about Kamei.   Thanks.

I camped at Wapato Lake resort.  It was ok.  Like the lady said, you have to unhitch the boat and put it at the launch to the right of the campground.  I was about 150 yards away from where I put my boat.  I was a little uncomfortable with that arrangement, so I launched my boat and tied it to a tree right next to my camp site.  The bathrooms were clean, but there was no power outlet at the campsite.  Fortunately I have a 36v system and can go two full days without recharging.  If you can I would reccomend staying at Kamei also.

There is a link with contact info for some of the area campgrounds. Lake Chelan State Park might be a good bet. I believe they have ample boat parking. It is on the opposite side of the lake from Wapato, but isn't that hard to get to...

i know there is a camping area on the west end of wapato and have launched there before.  i think there is a launch on the east side of the lake too as well as another camp ground.

Need some info on where to camp for fishing Chelan and Wapato lakes.  I made a call to Wapato Lake Campground since I never been there before.  Told the lady I needed a tent site, but I was sleeping in a van with a boat hitched to it.  She said boats aren't allowed near camping areas, would have to unhitch the boat and leave it in the boat launch area  Sad  Sounds like a great place to steal a boat.
Anyway, never been to this place before, so did I not get the right info, or is there a better place?  Read a post about Kamei, is that what I need ?  Looking to fish Chelan in the AM, and Wapato in the PM.

Thanks for the help.
