We had a good time at the fish-in. Thanks to Glen and Kerri, Jose, Mark B and Chuck for coming out.

The weather was good until about 10:30, when it dumped rain until about noon and then drizzled on us until we left around 1 pm.

Jose caught a 2 lb 14 oz male smallmouth off of a bed. We messed with several other bedded fish, but couldn't get them to bite.

Chuck caught several smallies from 1.5 lbs to 2.5 lbs Rev Rigging on the west side of the lake.

Some of us met at Fat Burger for lunch.

I'm not going to take my son this time around due to weather and some other commitments he has.

I will be at the breakfast at 5:00 am or so at Denny's.

I am also not going to do a BBQ because of the fact that there is a huge festival in the park and the fact that is is supposed to rain. I'm calling the potluck at Fat Burger.

I might make it if I wake up in time.  Had a wild week in Vegas and I don't know if I have the energy.  If I do go I'll be fishing until 11am so I can make it to work on time.

Matt,

You don't need to bring your boat. We'll put you on the water in someone's back seat. That what the fish-ins are about, getting people on the water - no boat required! Smiley

I was planning on it. but i took the motor in for a 250$ tune up Sad that has now led to a 1,200$ tune up. carbs, water pump, fuel pump, tuning, tank testing, and now crank seals Cry. I keep telling my wife its still cheaper than a new 50 horse. anyway sorry for venting. i am going to try to dust off the old boat and come.

Anyone? Bueller?

I haven't heard from anyone at all. Nobody wants to take their kid fishing? Nobody wants to go fishing without their kids?

If you guys want to go and launch earlier than 6:30, that's OK with me as long as you have someone in your back seat. I am going to take my son and will make sure that we are there for a 6:30 am launch.

June Fish-In

When: Saturday, June 9th, 2007
Where: Lake Sammamish

For the June Fish-In, we are coming back up to Lake Sammamish. Early June is the bomb for cruising smallies and you can catch them on spinnerbaits, drop shots, Carolina rigged lizards, grubs, etc.

I want to send out a special invitation to parents who are non-boaters who would like to bring their kid(s) along, but would not normally feel comfortable bringing them to a club event to fish. My boat in particular is open to you and your kids, so please give me call at 253-841-2183 if you would like bring them to this fish-in.

Please call me before the fish-in so that we can make sure we have enough kid-friendly boats to cover those who want to attend. Breakfast at 5:00 am is maybe too early for most kids, but if you can get them to the launch by 6:30 – 7 am, we should be in good shape.

Boaters, please participate June 9th if you can. Let’s get some youngsters out on the water and into some fish.

When: Saturday, June 9th, 2007
Where: Lake Sammamish
