Why would they put "Toast' in the fuel delivery system? With that engine I would expect to see rice or perhaps sushi.

Called Skeeter and here is what they say:
Valve is toast in Ball. Anglers Marine stated that gas is pulled from Port first-"NoT" Techs not knowing what they are talking about. Russ

rob..i believe there is difference in the blend of fuel on the eastside versus the west during summer because of air quality requirements...just not sure what exactly....I think it is the % of gasahol in the blend.

Oh got it...other side of the tank

For those who don't know I recently purchased an 06-21 I class Skeeter with a 250 HPDI Yamaha. Brian/Larry I don't believe it was the fuel that was the problem. I believe it is the actual electronic switch that is not reading the starboard tank. Why because when I switched the tank on the manual switch from Dual to Starboard the boat fired up and ran like it should have done from the get go.
I will be checking with Angler's tomorrow. Russ

Are you referring to fuel from the East side of the state? If so, what is the deal with it, more water in it or something? And you would think any certified mech could install a water separator.

The trade off is Daniel...the mechanic is the best in the biz. I was quoted about $39.00 and one hour labor. They have a tune-up special of 199.99 so I figured I would get it done now to head off my usual spring issues.

I am having Anglers Marine install a water separator just for that reason.......
Let me know how much they charge and if the work is good, cause I need one as well. I'm skeptical of there shop, it looked like hell when I bought oil there.

Brian,
You know now that I think about it, that would be a yes. Going to check on the separator myself, but I believe I allready have one on the Yami.

Well the perch bit pretty good, but the Yamaha had a fuel problem. Almost called someone to tow me in, but figured it out so was able to get back.
