Nick,

Dude, that is the oldest trick in the book!!! The ol' "Show me where the humps are". Now that guys has all of your hot spots.

I just recently talked to an Ex-Rep for Lowrance who now works at Outdoor Emporium. I was looking for the same thing. He showed me the differences inbetween the 2, the Hot spots shows some fishing related symbols, but that is it, the mapping nearly isnt as good.

The Navionics map has Great mapping on pretty much everything with more detail, for lake WA it is better than hot spots.

He proved this by asking me where some shallow humps I know of and try and find them on certain lakes, Hot spots most of them said they were 20-30 feet, on Navionics they are extrememly close reality with 3-8 feet.

ADVANTAGE: Navionics

Larry,

They said it had a partial view of the Columbia. Now what that means I don't know. Is hot Maps Elite better???

I looked at Lowrance web site and the Elite chip is $99.00 but did not see Lake Washington or the Columbia River...might still get it though as it has the western states and lots of other Washington lakes.

Smitty,

I looked up last night the Navionics Hot maps Premium chip and it lists Banks,Roosevelt, the Columbia, Moses,Sammamish, Riffe,Shasta,Clear lake and a host of other western lakes. But would I still need that other chip?

You'll need two.  The hot spots elite for Banks, Clear lake, Shasta  & the Potholes and the Navioncs West for Lk WA, Samamish, the Columbia River and the California Delta.

Does anyone know of the best map chips for the Lowrance 332c?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Russ
