Yeah, pretty slow day by Sammamish standards for the summer. I had seven fish for the day.  Nothing real big either. 3.2 was the biggest with most being right around the 2lb mark.  All on drop shot.  Did get one blow up on the topwater frog first thing in the morning

Thanks.  That was a fun fish, gotta love topwater.  It was very tough, I only caught that LM and 1 perch.  Alot of bait in the water this time of year.

Really wanted to make it to this one, but I was in Cancun instead.  Another big fish honors to Chris...good job.

It was a good day on sammamish, while the bite was tougher for some than others, the weather was great and company was even better. Big fish honors went to Chris B. who tied into a 4lb. 0oz. Lm on a Black Buzz bait. Way to go Chris!!

Can't make it. Family Reunion Saturday gone to tri-cities Sunday. Maybe Smitty and John will save some of those freshly smashed wine grapes.

But I think we should all take a minute to enjoy the image of Smitty and John kicking back, all decked out with Champion and Stratos gear, with a sassy cabernet sauvignon and a piece of stinky aged gruyere.

"I like this bottle here, John, it has a smallmouth on the label. And they obviously aged this in french oak."

"Well, I like this cheese here, Smitty, because it uses milk from those cows in the field near that secret hole we fish on the Yakima. And the mold pattern kind of reminds me of Aaron's Magic."

I should be there.  I might have a buddie with his son show up to go out with me though, so I might not be able to take someone out or not.  Either way, love big sam in the the summer should be fun.

So sorry I can't make it. I would have loved to be there. Wife has me going camping with the Church Group.
