T-Dot,

Here are some resources to use in getting your list together:

(especially this one - I think it is comprehensive)
http://wdfw.wa.gov/fish/warmwater/species.htm

(open the Warmwater Fishes of Washington .pdf and go to the lists beginning on Page 17 of the .pdf.)

The intro to the lists says:

" ... LOCATION TABLES
Appendix A lists all known bodies of water in
Washington containing warmwater species, arranged
alphabetically by county. Included are size (acres),
depth (feet), fish species present, and access
information.
Size and depth data are taken from Lakes of
Washington, Volume 1 (Western Washington) and
Volume 2 (Eastern Washington), Third and Second
editions, respectively, by Ernest Wolcott.
Where it is known, the type of access available is
listed: fishing pier, improved ramp, primitive ramp,
shoreline, or private access (resorts, etc.)..."

This could be a fun project, but also a very frustrating one finding the information.  It will be a labor of love, but if you do it right could turn into a nice reference guide.

Good Luck

Sounds like a great idea and alot of work. Here's one to add,  outboard motor restriction or limitations. Some lake take no outboards while other have hp limitaions and some even have mph limitations during certain hours of the day, all that would be great info but Im not sure how you can find all that. good luck.

im in the process of compiling a spreadsheet of all the lakes in washington that hold bass [both largies and smallies].

it will be pretty detailed, and contain alot of information which people normally ask.

here are a few items it will cover:

name - lake name
county -
bass - largemouth / smallmouth
directions
bait fish
crawfish
info - not yet defined
acres
season - when is the lake open
launch - directions
lake record - biggest fish caught there
stringer - best 5 fish stringer
camping - nearest camping location
facilities - restrooms etc
topographic maps
notes

if there is anything else i should cover please let me know. i will be starting with king county first, as i fish that the most, and it looks like many other people do to.
