I headed down to Silver for a few hours Saturday morning and we had some decent results.  I caught five with my biggest going an even 4 pounds.  My little brother caught 3 and lost one that looked bigger than 4 pounds.  Looks like the fish are just starting to put the feedbags on so the fish in should be fun for those that go.

Well, after the cool report that Joel did last week, Brian and I decided at the board meeting on Wednesday that we needed to go and try for a nice Greenslip fish. This is a sample of what we found nothing real big but a fun day on the water. Grin Brian had several over 4 and I had these two Grin. A 3.2 and a 3.5 not bad for a half a day! 8)

I love Silver! Tongue

Hey Carlos, I was really excited, but was more worried about getting the fish back into the water, because that was her second photo shoot.  In the picture on my profile I'm smiling, but I closed my eyes.

This is why I thought Silver in Sept or for the team tournament in Oct would be good. It kicks out some good fish. Weather is crazy though, like the Spring.

Chris, I'll probably go out at least one day this weekend, so let me know if you decide to come down.

Went out to Silver on Sunday with a friend.  The fishing was good if you can deal with the other boats.  We caught lots of fish with most coming on crainkbaits, and a few on spinnerbaits and senkos.  The fish were really scrappy and aggressive, It was a lot like catching smallies.  A lot of the time I didn't know how big the fish were until I saw them.  I did manage one really nice fish that went 6lb 7oz, with a lot of other fish between 1-3lb.   It seemed that most people that were on the fish were in the creeks and ditches, with quite a few more fish being caught around the island and some of the other usual places.  If you make a trip to silver you have to pick your starting spot well, because by the time you are done with your first spot all of the others are taken.  The picture is of the 6lb 7oz, and I apologize for my brothers photography skills.
