Just found out about the states First Muskie Tournament on Mayfield lake. I don't know how you would stuff one of those bad boys in a live well. The websight says that there are still 5 spots available if any one is interested. There is a $1000 first prize $600 second and $400 third. There is a 20 boat limit. That makes the odds fairly decent. If you are interested here is a link to the sight that has all the information. http://www.lakemayfield.com/FishingContest/MuskyContest.htm
The only thing I did not see there is what the entry fee is. I know a few of us have gotten pretty good at catching some of these sabre tooth rockets at Tapps. If any one plans on fishing this I would sure like to know how it goes. I might even take a road trip down to watch the festivities. It definately would be interesting.
