Okay folks.....After last years debockle with the fuel and rules issue at Banks I have made all the reservations with Coullee Playland Resort for the Jamborree over Memorial Day weekend and we as a club have to make the payment in advance and will collect from the members who will attend. so the sign ups start now....I will log those who are sign up online and have a sign-up sheet at the meetings and fish-ins and you all will re-imburse the club for the amount of the Fri-sun nites....if anyone (Like myself) are going to arrive early and stay a few days later than you need to both reserve with the t.d...Me now Jim Rumann Also and with Coulee Playland. The folks at Coulee Playland lost $600.00 last year due to no notice cancellations by our club alone so this is why we are changing the reservation format.
The web address for them is www.couleeplayland.com
They will have the rates for this years event in a couple of weeks last year it was $17.00 a night for camping.
For those new to the club or who have not attended the Jamborree it is a large tournament between all the clubs in the state who participate to go against each other and hang out together. There is a featured speaker on Sunday night I believe and a breakfast and barbeque dinner also! not to mention several contests to establish casting and kids champions for the state. So plan on attending this year as it is a sight to see 150+ boats racing down the lake!
