Went down to Sawyer this morning saw some sign of life.  Had a 2-3lb LM chase my spinnerbait all the way to my boat.  Tried to switch rods, but it was too late.  Surface temp was around 52-53 degrees.

Talked with a regular on the lake and he got one 3 pound Smallie.

Any largemouths, Larry?  I'm guessing you were mainly catching smallmouths?

Finally found that fish you graph with your electronics will bite occasionally if approached with a dropshotted Lake Police flatworm.......

Hit Sawyer for a few hours yesterday.  the water is still to stained to camera below 35ft.  I was hoping with this warm weather that the water would have warmed,  but.........  still getting 36 to 39 degree water down deep and 45 at the surface.  Cruised some shallow areas hoping for a big fish that might have come up to feed but no luck... Just a few perch bites in the 40 to 50 foot depth.

I was out on Sawyer Sunday too for about six hours or so, and it was a little slow to say the least.  I threw everything that I could think of at them with absolutely no luck.  This warm weather we are having might make the difference this weekend though.
