Cool. I fished that lake once last year, might not of been welcome on it, but no one said nothing. I ran across a dying largemouth, it was a skinny 5 lber, showed no signs of disease though.
I was throwing my fav buzzbait late evening and had one of biggest strikes of my life. Only had the fish hooked maybe 5 seconds. Very nice lake I must say.

Hey Sarge, you and Nick were fishing Lake Kathleen, up on in Renton past the college?? Thats where Nick lives? I fished there a few times before, had good luck too. Let me know. edit: I myself fished Lake Meridian today, drop shotted from the docks out to 45 feet, no bites to show. Water was 43 degrees.

Thanks for the info, Brian. What's this? The world famous Nick Culver and regionally (at least) famous Sarge came up empty for bass?

No luck yesterday, Stu. The water temperature on Lake Kathleen was about 42 degrees, and we figure it was still so cold because of ice cover it recently had. Even this warm weather wasn't enough to overcome that. We fishes most of the lake with jigs, dropshot rigs, and even a husky jerk to no avail. Chris

Tipicaly when the water hits the 50* mark is when you should start looking for largemouth. The earliest I find them on a consistant basis is around the middle of march. Brian (The Weedwalker)

Hey all!, I went to Spanaway looking for signs for active largies and no such luck, the main lake was 44* and the coves were only up to 47*. It's soooooo close you can visulize them swimming past you, wait! there's another one over there sunning it self............ soon........... very soon................ Brian (The Weedwalker)
