Just for curiosity, I'm gonna try to post a link to the pic of Y2SAYS big LM from the other thread. I've posted links to pics before. With this one, the pic doesn't show up in the preview. I can't remember if that is normal, or if this pic is somehow protected. If it won't display, maybe Glenn can 'splain. Otherwise, nice fish, Mister!
Edit: Ok, it won't work. Is there something in the url that prevents it from being linked to, or is there a way to 'protect' pics from being swiped?

Hey guys, all I can say is that the club is responsible for the teachings I have passed on to my kids! The next step is to spend the time this spring teaching Alex and Bree to fish smallmouth better. I'll be taking them with me (more so) to places like Riffe, Washington, Sammamish and potholes. I'm still disapointed about how they are limiting the kids to just smallmouth. From the way I understand it the largemouth restrictions is that it's strongly sujested by the federation but it's not "law." I don't know what kind of "flack" we would get if we chose to bring in largemouth anyway but I do think that if they should ban largemouth it should be on places like roosivelt where the largemouth population "may" benifit. But close it to all, not just tourney fishers. Brian (The Weedwalker)

Yeppers, you can. However, just in case the image gets "squished" (if you use it for your profile pic), just tell Jim. He'll fix it fer ya!
P.S. You know I'm flippin' ya crap, don't ya? I hope so!

HOORAY, I think this will work. HEHE.
Glenn, I always read what you put out. Didn't I buy the Bassresource stuff?
If we can send the .jpg to this site and then use it on the message board that will be great.

Glenn, I do understand this. The problem being if the picture isn't somewhere on the net then we can't put the url in the message and have the picture show up.
It would be easy if we all had "web sites" to post to and then could use those urls for here. As I understand it putting together a "personal" website is not really that big of a deal but it is a waste of time for someone like me just to be able to put a couple pictures here.
I also understand the necessity of gaurding against unauthorized or "in poor taste" posting situations. So we will just muddle along as we have in the past and wait for Bill B. to get his site going.

Rich,
I believe our picture feature is set up that way to avoid spammers coming on here and posting commercials and things like that...

A-h-h-h, but the key is that it has to be "hosted" (shown somewhere else on the internet) to do this. Well, what we are talking about here, I think (is if we have a pic, ie. .JPG, say on our computer), how can we insert it onto the message board.
On another board that I frequent, you have to send them the .JPG and your message and then they peruse it and post or not.

You all can. It's not any special permission that only I can do.
The pic must already be hosted somewhere, then just get the URL to that pic.
Now, start a post, and click the button. Just stick the URL between the tags and there ya go!
(how do you think I just posted that button image?)

H-h-m-m-m-m That might be something for our webmaster to think about. But maybe it could be a seperate site or page that members could upload pictures on.
What do you think "little man behind the curtain?" We aren't in Kansas anymore Toto.

It would be nice if any Joe could stick pictures on a post like that. Proof to all the big bass we say we catch.

Beauty of a picture. Gotta love the kids. She better to learn to catch smallies in the future on Banks Lake. kh
