Dipsnort, don't forget to get it verified at a meeting or it don't count.  Right Glenn?

Steve was also on time, pleasant company, and a proficient caster.  He was not as easily impressed as I am, but with his recent birthday, he's getting on up there in years, which tends to make people less impressionable.  Wink

I had a great time fishing with you, Steve.  I stopped by Moneysmith on the way home and checked it out.  Access would be very difficult with all but a canoe since the end of the lake has a HUGE and THICK lily pad "field".  My plastic frog and I could spend weeks in there at a time!  Grin  Launching anything other than a hand-carried craft is not an option.  I walked down an old overgrown dirt road on the West side of the lake and found an access point, along with bass activity right next to shore.  But alas, my rods were still in the truck and I had to get home anyway since my Mother-in-law was visiting and I didn't want to miss her or anything.  Roll Eyes

I went to my "favorite" local lake yesterday morning and picked up a 16" and a  13" largemouth (man, I've got to get a scale!).  Smiley

Keep working on the name, Virgin...uh, I mean Virgil.  You'll get it sooner or later.  Grin

Forum newbie member "Dipsnort" and I met up at the WBC meeting Thursday evening, and made an appointment to meet at Lk. Holm, off Auburn-Blk. Diamond Rd.  It's an electric-only lake, only holds Largemouth, AFAIK. Holm is not a big fish lake, but it is usually good for some numbers, and is real pretty, with a nice view of Mt. Rainier. We had a fairly good morning until about 9am, when the sun got on the water on the shady side of the lake...and because it was smooth as glass. Both "Dipsnort" Dave and I caught some keeper sized bass, with the biggest (about 2.5 lbs) choosing my Tiki Stik. Dave got one about 1.5 lbs on a frog in the pads, got me to snap a pic, so we should see a better picture of him on future posts, sans slimer. Dipsnort was on time, pleasent company, proficient caster and easily impressed.  I think he'd make a great WBC member.  Roll Eyes
C&R, Steve
