Just goes to show you, you don't have to spend $200 on Loomis to catch fish.

Sounds great, Andrea! Glad to see you posting here... BUT - do you really have to lie? I think we know who's Zebco combo that was.

Lyle, the kids and I had a great time on Spencer this Sat. along with Ted & Carla.  This was our first "fishing" trip out in the new Skeeter, and we were able to break it in with a couple of nice largemouth. The 1st was mine at 2.6 (dig.) on Brock's Zebco rod/reel combo with a double-tailed grub (of course I let Brock reel it up to the boat), Lyle  followed that up a few minutes later with a nice 3.5 (dig.) on a senko, both fish were caught in the early afternoon, shallow water, water temp 60ish.  We had a couple more bits in the afternoon but nothing landed.

Glad to be back on the water,

Andrea

Ted
the problem with that resturant is that they don't open until 7am. I talk to the owner and he said that unless I could promise him a large turn out then it wouldn't be worth him opening early for us. which I don't blame him.

So Right now I am planning on meeting at Sierra's in Shelton

Hey JIm,
It was nice to see you as well. As far as the restaurant is concerned if you leave the bay where everyone fishes, and turn left, go to the far left cove it is in the back. There is a sign on the building that says "Bar" on it. You can tie up there and go in and eat. There are usually severel people fishing from the dock, so watch out for them, Take care

Rich loth and I ran over to Spencer yesterday and I caught my first fish of the year 2-2lb'ers, a 1 lb'er and one not worth mentioning. Sorry I couldn't get Rich any fish but it wasn't for lack of trying, There were a couple of fish Rich tickled there nose with a lizard but they were not having anything to do with it.

We were greeted at the launch by Long Lake Bass club haveing a tournament.  I think their winning weight was 8.5lbs

we were also joined by the Logston family in the new Skeeter (nice boat Lyle). I believe that Andrea has a descent green slip fish 3.? lb and Lyle caught I think a 4.?lb Correct me if I am wrong guys.

It was also good to see Ted and Carla Watts out fishing not sure how they did though. Been a long time

I really look foreward to the fish-in next month and I think it should be really turned on by then

Speaking of which I didn't see a reasturant
