A couple of nice largemouth had been caught at the fish-in 2 weeks ago, but I had yet to catch one in 2022.  This Saturday morning I had hung out with the Don and Ron Hankinson, and Chris Sergeant in front of the canals looking for pre-spawn fish.  Chris spanked us right away by catching 2 smallmouth and a small largemouth.

About 3:30 pm I found an inlet with some reeds growing along the shore. I was throwing a skirted 7" worm into the reeds and swimming it back to the boat.  Suddenly it moved side ways and I set the hook on this 5.51 largemouth.  Made my day!
