Potholes tournament

We will be launching out of the state park.  I will be there for sign ups Friday night at 7 and Saturday morning at 4:30.  Drivers meeting will be at 5:10, national anthem will play at 5:30, and blast off will immediately follow.  We started a little late at the draw tournament due to late arrivals.  I will not wait this time.  If you are not ready when your number is called you will be skipped.  Weigh in will be at 3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday.  Not sure if you want to have a Potluck or not.  I will probably just eat at the golf course.

I'll be in site #5 at the State Park.  Looking forward to seeing everyone there.  I'll be having dinner at the restaurant by the golf course, Mike's Place, we had a good time there last year.

Looking forward to our most popular tournament of the year.  I was one of the slow to get in the water boats at WA.  I would have been fine getting skipped, do what you gotta do Brad.

We'll be eating at Mike's Place as well  Cool

So while I'm  Boatless in Seattle for awhile, I'd be happy to pay boat and car gas expenses for anyone who wants to prefish Potholes.  I could go this sunday, or most any day next week.
I'd also be willing to pay backseat expenses if anyone is going fishing locally this Sunday the 30th.
Cheers
Jay

The water level at potholes is very high so figure that into your pre-tournament thinking

I was asked by someone why we would change the launch site from where we have had it for years. For those not staying at the state park there will be a $10 fee to come to the awards.  There are no in and out privileges. I learned that last year. The places to tie up are very minimal and it is main lake so beaching your boat is risky. Many of us not staying at the park will have a lot to worry about other than just launching.

I agree with 5dinks!  Not only the cost for both days.....plus there is only room for two boats on the dock.  There is no good area to beach your boat (that is not rocky) and it's on the main lake with nothing to block the wind or the waves.  Remember last year on Sunday with the strong wind, the rocks gouged up the bottom of my boat.  What's wrong with Blyth Bay?  No cost and it's a protected bay.
