2017 Tournament Schedule.

Here is the schedule of dates and lakes for next year... The state might force a change but we will not know till the permits are issued.
April 1st.-2nd. Lake Washington----Draw Tournament.
May 6th.-7th. Potholes Reservoir. Points Tournament #1.
June 17th.-18th. Riffe Lake---- Points Tournament #2.
July 8th.-9th. Banks Lake---- Fun Tounament..more to follow.
August 12th.-13th. Lake Roosevelt---- Points Tournament #3.
September 16th-17th. Lake Wash.---- Points Tournament #4.
October 7th.-8th. American lake---- Team Tournament.
Lets start making those camping reservations come January!

We are going this season alone vs. with another club so the cost for 7 tournament permits vs 4 is on the table so we will be discussing a proposed increase of the membership fees to $60.00 per year this year to be voted on at the January meeting... see the discussion in the Members Only area.

I thought we needed to raise it to $60 to cover permits and trophies.

So even member who do not participate in tournaments have to pay the increased membership dues ? Shouldn't only people fishing the tournament pay for the tournament ?

Not a current member but have been in the past. $60 membership fee is too cheap in my opinion and should be raised to cover plaques, permits, etc. All members should take a look at what others are paying through out the state to maintain clubs budgets I can tell you that $60 bucks doesn't cover it.

I'm sorry to bother you all with such an elementary question.  But could you please tell me what the differences are between types of tournaments: Draw, Points, Fun & Team? Lips Sealed

Draw means boaters draw a number, and non boaters.  So each day could be on a different boat.  Points means they add up for angler of the year.  Fun means no points.  Team, both boater and non work together instead of competing against one another.

Well said derik.  They all cost the same it's just the ones that aren't points tournaments are a little less serious.  They all are extremely fun though during the tournament and afterwards.

Can we make sure to have a running total as well as far as angler of the year points. It will help keep interest  and competitiveness up. Maybe an update after each tournament on the Facebook as well showing the top five.

We will have a running total of AOY points for all points tournaments.

If you join BASS, you pay the same dues as everyone else, even though you only want the magazine and not any extras.  If you go to the Puyallup Fair, you pay the same amount as everyone else even though you're only there to see the goats and won't ride on the rides.  If you go to the movies, you pay the same admission as everyone else, even though you won't use the bathroom or go to the snack bar.  I don't see why this would even be discussed.  In my opinion...
