Fished Long Lake in Lacey today and found the water temps to be 46 degrees but by 4PM the temps jumped up to 52 degrees and Largies were in the shallows...
I saw three 1-1/2 pound fish hiding in brush piles in 3 feet of water but they were very spooky.... moved around to the north end of the lake and found some steep drop offs near shore and caught a 2-12 from 3 feet deep and about a half hour later a 4-13 at the same depth!! I did try the rock piles and got small bites.. poss. rock bass or perch but was not happy fishing deep so I cruised around.... sure I would find some cruisers and finally did.
