Looks like Rodney's got the pancakes covered, Derik's going to bring some farm fresh eggs, I'll bring 2 lbs of Safeway fresh bacon that Rodney has offered to cook on his campsite cooktop, I'll bring a gallon of OJ, plates, cups and utensils, Tim's bringing cinnamon rolls, looks like we've got breakfast covered.

Why don't we meet at 5 AM to get breakfast rolling which means we'll probably be done and heading for the lake by 6.

Just got off of the phone with my wife, I am regret that I must pull out of the fish-in completely. Was looking forward to flipping flap jacks. Dan won't  be there either do to work.

Without Rodney and his campfire kitchen, or Larry, or Dan I think it's best if we cancel the shore breakfast and head to the nearest Sharis.

Let's all meet at this Shari's at 5 AM for breakfast:

Shari's in Olympic Square - Exit 107
3424 SE Pacific Ave
Olympia, WA 98501

So far it looks like Derik, Mike, Carl, Karl (me) and a backseater, maybe Terry and Tim.

Dan has to work and can't make it so there won't be any chili dogs.

Anyone else out there going to be joining us?

I would have gone, but was flying back from ICAST in Orlando.

One of these days I'll make it to one!

Dinkfest is the best way to describe it.  Everyone seemed to be catching small fish, fractions of a pound, with a few fish going over a pound.

I had a friend, Gordy, with me, and he ended up catching most of the dinks in our boat.  I caught the big fish on my first cast of the morning with a 1 lb 12 oz SM in about 25 feet of water off a drop off, and that was it for nice fish for the day.  Dinks the rest of the day.  We fished drop offs for the most part.  Tried fishing the lilly pads with a hollow body frog on 40 lb braided line at the one end of the lake and got nothing.  Drop offs seemed to be the deal, but after catching 30 or so dinks, that gets kind of tiring and we decided to call it quits at 2 PM.

Larry suggested stopping for burgers and shakes and Norma's in Nisqually and that was a great call.  Very good and I recommend to anyone looking for a great burger and shake!

A fun day, just a lot of dinks.

Thanks for the report guys.  I think Larry said it best, try to hit it in the spring.  I may try it if we get a nice overcast rainy day in the next 2-4 months, see if those skiier's are hardcore or not  Grin
