I have seen water-dogs in Lake Sawyer (salamander). Has anyone ever used a plastic water-dog as bait? If so what is the technique for this bait?

Try a "Carolina rig", or "Texas Rig", or Drop shot, or "Mojo rig". A carolina rig with a plastic lizard was a main staple of many fishermen for years.  Grin

Thanks Dan, I'm going to go with the "Carolina rig". From what I know these guys are nest raiders so I would imagine flipping around their beds would be the best approach.
