	I tried a little topwater at banks this year with mixed results - but I noticed that some lines I used sunk quickly and caused some trouble with the way the lure worked on the way back to the boat. The nose dove down instead of "walking the dog" etc... What kind and pound line has worked best for you when topwater fishing?

	i fish most of my topwaters on 12lb test. as far as brands go mccoy and gamma worked have worked well recently. troy

	As Troy puts it 12lb , but sometimes will go to 10. Depends on water clarity. On Roosevelt I will be using 10-12. Russ

	For topwater, I use mono and 10lb test. The mono floats on top and has some stretch. Keeps me from setting the hook to soon with the stretch in the line. Mark

	Smitty, is that line of the Jewish faith??? Any relation to Oscar? I like to use braid for topwater, it floats real well and I find that with no stretch, bites tend not to need a hookset, the fish set themselves though I do use a soft rod. Faz
