I use both the texas rig....Baitcasting and spinning...

Baitcasting 7ft. Shimano Crucial or Compre Med-Fast ...12 pound Izorline pegged weight...rarely not pegged. Spinning 7ft. Shimano Crucial Med-Fast....8 lb. Izorline Same on pegging.

Carolina Rig.... 7 ft. Crucial rod-Med.Fast Almost exclusively for Smallies on 8 lb. Izorline main line and 8 lb. leader with an size 1 ewg gamakatsu hook...the length of leader varies from 8 inches to 3 ft. and the weight varies fron 1/4 oz to 1/2 oz. with a black glass bead between weight and the barrel swivel.
